On July 13, Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and
director of the General Armaments Department of the PLA, met Kim II Chol,
member of the National Defense Commission and minister of the People's
Armed Forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the
military delegation led by him in Beijing.
Li Jinai said that the Chinese armed forces attached great importance
to developing friendly and cooperative relations between the armed forces
of China and the DPRK, and he expressed the hope that the two sides should
keep up efforts to expand new areas of cooperation and push for continuous
progresses of relations between the two armed forces.
Kim II Chol said that during his current visit, he had witnessed the
great achievements made by the Chinese people in economic construction and
social development under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
The DPRK side cherished dearly the friendship between the two countries
established by the leaders of the older generation of two countries and
would make great efforts to develop it further.
