Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission and director of
the General Armaments Department of the PLA, met in Beijing yesterday with
a Ukrainian delegation headed by Kazakov, the first deputy minister of
Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine. The two sides exchanged views on
bilateral relations, military industrial technology cooperation and other
issues of common concern amid sincere and friendly atmosphere.
Li Jinai said that there had been a long history of friendship
between the Chinese and Ukrainian peoples. Since the establishment of
diplomatic relation between the two countries in 1992, the two countries,
two armed forces and defense industry departments of the two countries
have established and developed sound cooperative relations. The Chinese
side valued the relations with Ukraine and was willing to further the
cooperation between the two sides in various fields.
Kazakov spoke highly of the friendly relations and cooperation
between the two sides in military industrial technology field. He said
that Ukraine was willing to work with the Chinese side to push the
cooperation between the two countries in various fields to a new high.
