The Headquarters of the General Staff, the General Political
Department, the General Logistics Department and the General Armaments
Department recently issued "Interim Measures for Enforcing Service &
Management for the Retired Army Cadres Waiting for Placement". It has made
regulations to further enforce service and management for the retired
cadres waiting for placement. It urged units at all levels to earnestly
study and implement the important thought of the "Three Represents", and
carry out various work.
The Measures stressed that the service and management for the retired
cadres waiting for placement is the responsibility of all levels and all
departments. The Measures clarified the main content of the service and
management. First, to intensify the Party's organizational work; Second,
to pay attention to ideological education; Third, to keep a strict daily
management; Fourth, to provide a good service guarantee. According to
relevant policies, efforts should be made to solve actual problems for the
retired cadres waiting for placement in housing, transport, communication,
employment and enrollment of their children.
In light of the pragmatic principle, the Measures has also clarified
methods for service and management for the retired cadres waiting for
placement.
