In early July, an airport reconstruction and expansion project for a new type of fighter undertaken by an air defense engineering department of the air force of the Shenyang Military Area Command has been checked and accepted by the upper level and was awarded "high quality project of the PLA".
In recent years, the department has taken the lead in the development and application of new technology, new processing, new material and new equipment in the war preparation project construction of the Air Force, and developed and brought in more than 20 pieces of new equipment such as concrete bladers, and adopted 7 new materials such as non-woven fabrics, which greatly improved the scientific and technological application in construction missions. In recent years, the department has completed more than 20 war preparation construction missions including an airport for a new type of home made fighter with 100% of pass rate and 98.5% of excellence rate. Consequently the department was awarded as Advanced Unit of Key War Preparation Project Construction of the PLA.
