On June 10, at the servicemen committee meeting held by the 5th Company under an artillery division of the Guangzhou Military Area Command, the idea put forward by Second-Class NCO Liu Zhonghua has effectively solved the problem for fast mobility of heavy artilleries on sandy beaches in military trainings. For years, this division has paid attention to giving full play to the functions of servicemen committee as a way of promoting military democracy in its subordinate units, and encourages the officers and men to make suggestion on how to promote military changes with Chinese characteristics. In this year alone, it has successfully solved over 60 difficult problems in trainings with suggestion collected from officers and men.
The division adopts effective measures to intensify its leadership over the servicemen committee. Meanwhile, the various servicemen committees of its subordinate units takes the promotion of military democracy as one of their important tasks, and actively organizes officers and men to study tactics and technological skills; besides, they also carries out mission evaluations after every military exercises and implementation of important tasks. Leaders at all levels regularly attend meetings of the servicemen committees to listen to servicemen's opinions and suggestion. Thanks to its active promotion of military democracy, this division has successfully solved the problems existed in its military work.
