One day in mid May, the reporter watched a synchronous exercise conducted by the troops of a division of the Guangzhou Military Area Command in different places on the local area networks. In the speedy maneuver of the troops, the command center of the division sent out operation orders by making use of the integrated field commanding automation system and transmitted the related operation information to the terminals of various firepower systems promptly to complete the precise strike on the enemy targets with all main weapons instantly. Seamless connection between the network integration and armament enabled the capability of the division in field operation improved greatly under the conditions of informationization.
In recent years, in light of the actual situation characterized by difference between various technological systems of the existing armament systems, the interfaces not matching with each other and difficulty in interoperability, the division has adopted measures including technological embedding, system integration and technology introduction and transplantation to complete the comprehensive field operation commanding automation system combining reconnaissance, calculation, tactics commanding, early warning, information confrontation and the transmission of information, established interoperable and information sharing technological integration network among all armaments of the division and realized seamless connection and mobile links between network integration and main weapons and armaments.
