An intelligent simulated training device has been developed by an armored regiment of the Beijing Military Area Command, which has incorporated in a scientific way the functions of several different simulated training facilities, thus officers and men can accomplish 7 different training subjects on a single device.
At this regiment's multi-function training hall, the reporter saw that seven soldiers were conducting training on different subjects simultaneously on the same intelligent simulated training device. A soldier acting as tank commander was giving order according to the targets displayed on the screen of the intelligent simulator: "AP shell, left front, moving target, destroy it!" The driver swiftly drove the "tank" to occupy advantageous and optimum firing position, while the gunner operated firing control system to conduct fire´ According to Company Commander Zhang Yalin who was organizing the training at the site, in the past, specialty trainings had to be conducted at different training sites, thus organizational work was rather troublesome and time-consuming. Now with availability of this new intelligent training simulator, the average training time for every soldier could increase at least 2 hours.
