In later March, at a general-purpose training ground of an airborne force unit, the paratroops which had just landed in the depth of enemy's defense under the firepower support swiftly picked up their parachutist-combat-vehicles to drive deeply into "enemy's" rear and destroyed enemy's important targets. The success of this exercise indicated that the operational platform of this unit featuring its newly acquired parachutist-battle-vehicles has basically taken shape and has acquired the ability to perform operational task.
In recent years, in the light of new requirements on operational command, training management and comprehensive support for airborne force unit arising from the acquisition of new equipment, this unit has actively carried out reform and innovation. For example, in the light of different characteristics of parachute-landing mission and aircraft landing mission, the unit mainly focused its efforts to explore the fighting methods for parachutist-combat-vehicles, took the initiative to joint hands with related research institutions to tackle key technical problems and successfully solved such problems as how to fasten vehicles onto aircraft and how to swiftly unfasten vehicles after landing, and conducted numerous tests in this respect. In addition, it also made technical innovation on vehicle-mounted radio stations and developed more functions of vehicle so as to enable them to meet wartime purpose as well as peacetime purpose.
