Facing the fifth speed acceleration of the national railway, the Military Representative Office of the the Zhengzhou Railway Bureau timely worked out countermeasures to ensure the smooth operation of military transportation, sent dispatchers to attend the speed acceleration training course sponsored by the civilian railway bureau to carefully study the new railway operation schedules, train formation plans and the related documents, and revised the military transportation plans accordingly. In the light of the problems that might affect military transportation safety after speed acceleration, such as fastening of goods, cargoes which exceed limitations, technological condition of self-prepared carriage and the piling height of dangerous cargo, etc., the representative office studied carefully and made sure eventually that all the requirements of the related regulations were met. For those carriages that did not conform to safety regulations, the office asked the departments concerned to make readjustment. In a word, they were quite strict with and set high standard upon transportation safety. The office made careful plans for military transportation and took every aspect of the issue into consideration in advance so as to guard against the occurrence of possible accident in military transportation.
