Upon the approval of the Central Military Commission, the Headquarters of the General Staff, the General Political Department, the General Logistics Department and the General Armaments Department of the PLA jointly promulgated recently the Regulations on Teaching Work of the Learning Institutes of the PLA (hereinafter refers to as the Regulations). The promulgation and implementation of the Regulations indicates that the teaching of the learning institutes of the PLA has been further institutionalized and standardized.
The Regulations consists of 51 articles in eight chapters and has laid down comprehensive, clear and detailed stipulations on teaching responsibilities, primary system, plans and implementation, quality management and all junctures of various fields of the learning institutes. Considering that teaching work is complex and comprehensive, the Regulations has also made rules on the management, support and construction which have direct bearing on teaching. In order to bring out the enthusiasm of all the teaching staff to devote themselves into the cause of the military institute education, the Regulations has also clearly stipulated that those individuals who win national or military teaching awards would be awarded according to the regulations of the state or military scientific and technological progress awards and the award would be considered as important reference for professional academic title assessment.
