Recently a soldier was injured in a drilling and was transferred to the General Hospital of the Jinan Military Area Command. Within no more than 20 minutes after his arrival, the soldier was taken in to the servicemen's ward with central air conditioner, color TV and his own toilet. And soon General Cai Jinfang, director of the bone trauma department and famous expert, operated on him in person.
In recent years, the hospital has been taking the satisfaction of patients as the elementary standard to assess the medical work of various departments and has stipulated and perfected "eight measures serving the servicemen" and "six regulations on giving priority to servicemen", realizing coordinated-process service for active servicemen in diagnosis and hospitalization. At the same time, they have established servicemen consultation center staffed by experts and professors with rich clinical experience. In order to enable soldiers to recover as soon as possible, they have collected fund to buy over 20 kinds of new and specific medicines for the treatment of servicemen free of charge. This year, the hospital is vigorously promoting the medical concept of "letting patients keep a good mood". To practise the concept, the medical workers not only try every means to do a good job in treatment, but also enhance psychological guidance and ideological work for patients, which is widely praised by the troops.
