The political task of the first importance at present is to study earnestly the important thought of "Three Represents"

Deputy Wang Chaoqun:

　　To implement the tasks and objectives on national defense and modernization of the military forces, put forward in the Government Work Report, the army must grasp firmly the work of ideological and political building and start from the sources to improve the ideological and political quality of the officers and men, specially those enrolled from civilian universities and those who were national defense cadets, so as to strengthen their political belief and help them to lay a solid ideological foundation to make contributions and to start their careers in the army.

Deputy Liu Zhanzhi:

　　The key in studying and implementing the important thought of "Three Represents" is to combine theory with practice. We should constantly strengthen our consciousness and resolution in implementing the important thought of "Three Represents" by sticking to the principal requirement of keeping paces with the times, to the core of the progressiveness of the Party and to the essence of exercising the state power in the interest of the people. We must grasp tightly the outstanding contradictions in army building and promote military changes with Chinese characteristics with the important thought as the guidance.　

Deputy Chen Qingyao:

　　The foundation in studying and carrying through the important thought of "Three Represents", is to deepen understanding, while the key is to commit oneself to practice. At present, it is particularly important to integrate "to know it" with "practice" and to guide one's behavior with the right understanding, which in turn will deepen one's understanding of the theory so as to put into effect the important thought of "Three Represents" in our work.

Deputy Wang Liangwang:

　　It is the objective requirement to earnestly study the important thought of "Three Represents" and the principal guarantee to strengthen the army building and improve the battle effectiveness of the troops in an all-round way. The important thought of "Three Represents" comes down in one continuous line with Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory and its core and essential are to solve the actual problems of China.

Deputy Mei Xingrun:

　　We should learn how to use the standing, views and approaches of the important thought of "Three Represents" to observe, analyze and solve problems. Only by doing so, can we make the important thought of "Three Represents" playing an important role in promoting the social advancement and development.

Deputy Yang Zhengwu:

　　To start a new upsurge of studying and implementing the important thought of "Three Represents" is a strategic step the Party has taken to continue the past and open up the future so as to keep paces with the times. As the important forces embodying the superiority of the Party and the political system of our country, the military forces should have a better understanding of the practice of starting a new upsurge of studying and implementing the important thought of "Three Represents", paying closer attention to it and do a good job on this issue.
