A few days ago, a set of intelligence command system with high technological content for artillery groups was put into service in an artillery division of the Guangzhou Military Area Command. It took only 10 days for the equipment to be installed and adjusted before it was ready for operation. The miracle was created by a batch of inter-disciplinary commanders fostered by the division itself, who not only have a good command of special knowledge on artillery, reconnaissance and signal communications, but also know much about complex network technologies.
The division has attached great significance to fostering inter-disciplinary talents who master IT expertise. At various training programs designed for military commanders at all levels, the division made a point to incorporating signal communication, multi-media production and computer application into the programs as compulsory courses. At the same time, the division also swapped training programs for officers working in different units with different specialties so as to enable them to specialize in one specialty and be good at many. In an exercise conducted early this year, the division used more than 20 different types of new equipment with high IT contents, thanks to close coordination among commanders and technicians, all the new equipment was able to give maximum play to their functions in the exercise.

本报讯 特约通讯员蔡建伟、记者柳刚报道：日前，一套科技含量高的炮兵群情报指挥系统落户广州军区某炮兵师。该系统从安装调试到投入使用，仅仅用了10天。创造这一速度的是该师自己培养出来的一批复合型指挥员。他们既懂炮兵专业，又通侦察和通信，还会运用复杂的网络技术。
该师大力培养懂信息技术的复合型人才，举办各级军事指挥员集训，把通信、多媒体制作、计算机应用等作为必训内容。同时，他们还将不同单位、不同专业的干部进行互换训练，使人才达到一专多能，增强了开发使用新装备的整体协调性。今年初，该师在一次演练中，先后投入了20余种信息化含量高的新装备，各类指挥员和技术干部互相配合整体协作，使新装备发挥了最大效能。 |
