In view of the problems arising in new armament training, a speed-boat detachment of the North China Sea(NCS) Fleet has adopted measures to extend armament support to battle stations in order to exert to the full the battle effectiveness of new type of warships. In early February, the detachment organized a formation to carry out joint exercise in the sea and made outstanding performance.
In recent years, the detachment has doubled its efforts to tackle the technological problems in light of the requirements of actual warfare. They used to invite technological personnel from the civilian manufacturers to provide technological support while carrying out firing practice with live ammunitions in order to test any new type of artillery or missile. Nowadays, they have compiled a manual for the abovementioned automatic artillery joint debugging system and for the missile-launching joint debugging system of the guided missile frigate. As long as the standards are observed, they can carry out joint debugging on their own efforts.
