On the eve of the Spring Festival, a communication regiment of the Jinan Military Area Command worked out a regulation to intensify management of "NCO flat" and stop occupation of the flat by some officers so as to ensure family dependents of NCOs could live in the NCO flat when they came to visit their dear ones during the Spring Festival.
This regiment has relatively a large number of married NCOs and the housing is inadequate during holidays when family dependents of NCOs come to visit their dear ones. In order to create a cozy "home" for the NCOs, the regiment raised money at the end of last year to construct an NCO flat on the basis of former building used to accommodate family dependents of NCOs on temporally visit. The flat was also equipped with kitchenware and TV sets so that family dependents of NCOs could live in as soon as they arrived.
Aiming at preventing the NCO flats from being occupied by some officers, the regiment worked out "Regulations on NCO Flat Management" soon after the flat was completed. The regulations clearly stipulate that the flat is available only with the application of the NCO's company approved and registered by the related departments. It is strictly prohibited for officers to occupy the flat by any excuse. At the same time, the regiment has also intensified the check and supervision over the situation of housing occupation. In case NCOs are found to apply for the houses on behalf of their officers, the regiment will immediately take back houses, and the NCO and the officer concerned will be dealt with strictly.
