Right at the beginning of this years' military training, a group of NCOs of a division under the Lanzhou Military Area Command proficiently displayed their skills of operating high-tech equipment, which greatly impressed all those present at the site.
In order to build up the quality of NCOs, this division worked out a program entitled "Opinions of Intensifying Cultivation of NCOs" which explicitly laid down stipulations on training, assignment, award and punishment of the NCOs, and measures to encourage NOCs to enhance their capabilities at their own posts. Thanks to this policy, a group of higher quality NCOs who have strong capability to organize military training has come to the fore. The reporter saw, in a simulated training hall of a regiment, Non-Commissioned Officer Wang Wei, a squad leader, was giving a teaching demonstration on computerized fire control principle. Multimedia courseware he used to explain the principle was quite vivid and he explained profound principles in a simple and vivid style. Ma Dengjun, another NCO, invented a method to quickly remember code words, which enabled him to win a Military Scientific and Technological Progress Award. Non-Commissioned Officer Jiang Fulin developed a vehicle-mounted simulated missile training system that had helped to boost the training quality of troops.
