A Notice on Issues Regarding to Facilitating the Socialization of Servicepeople's Housing jointly issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Land and Resources, the People's Bank of China and the General Logistics Department of the PLA, which regulates the purchasing of economically affordable houses by servicepeople, will speed up the monetization, commercialization and socialization of servicepeople's housing.
The Notice points out that the socialization of military housing is an important component in the process of socializing logistics support of the armed forces which will contribute to the reduction of military burdens in building and managing houses, and improve housing conditions of the servicepeople. The governments at various levels should help the military to cope with their housing problems by incorporating house purchases by servicepeople into local program of constructing economically affordable houses.
