On January 13, the PLA General Staff Headquarters (GSH) held a party in Beijing for senior retired officers to gather together to exchange New Year's greetings. Liang Guanglie, member of the Central Military Commission and chief of the general staff of the PLA, and over 1,200 retired officers above corps level and some other officers and men resided in Beijing gathered joyfully together to wish each other a happy and prosperous new year.
Deputy Chiefs of the General Staff Wu Quanxu, Qian Shugen, Xiong Guangkai and Zhang Li also attended the party. At the party, the performers of amateur cultural groups under the PLA General Staff Headquarters gave a wonderful cultural performance for audience.
