In a missile quick support exercise organized by an ordnance depot of the East China Sea Fleet recently, different types of missiles were wheeled into a test hall, a technician sitting in front of a computer in a new-type of vehicle- mounted missile test shelter skillfully clicked on test programs, and in a rather short time he had accomplished test of several different types of missiles.

　　In the past, each type of missile had its own unique test devices and maintenance facilities. Therefore to test each different missile, they had to change special test facilities, such as radar tester, signal generator, impulse voltmeter, etc, as a result the test efficiency was rather poor. After the newly equipped general test device came into service, the ordnance depot began to collect data from various sources in order to make improvement of the new test devices. Through careful research, the depot invented a new comprehensive missile test system by means of connecting several test devices together,. The new system is able to realize automatic test and intelligent analysis of technical parameters of various types of missiles and missile parts, thus the test efficiency has been greatly improved.
