"On-the-spot lot-drawing, on-the-spot teaching, on-the-sport marking", the first "Teaching Innovation Cup" competition for materials and POL profession training institutions of the PLA, held by the related departments of the General Logistics Department of the PLA, was concluded yesterday. Thirty-six contestants from the materials and POL profession training institutions of the PLA introduced a series of best courses after three days' fierce competitions.

　　In recent years, the materials and POL l profession training institutions of the army have been adhering to the guideline of military strategic policies in the new era laid down by the Central Military Commission and developed a new talent training method, and a military based, intensive and professional training pattern. On the spot of the teaching contest, Han Fuxiang, deputy-director of the Quartermaster, Materials and POL Department of the General Logistics Department of the PLA, told the reporter: "Talents are the key to the promotion of military changes with Chinese characteristics." The "teaching innovation contest" for the materials and POL profession training institutions of the army is not only a test of qualifications of the teaching staff in this system, but also a kind of promotion to the building of a strong contingent of professional and technical talents.

　　It was learned that the 36 contestants were all teaching elites strictly selected from materials and POL training brigades of the army and related technical troops training bases. Some of them were senior teachers with many years of professional teachings experience on materials and POL, while others were leaders in the army. In line with the principle of hard and strict selections, related departments of the General Logistics Department of the PLA also invited 10 professors and experts inside and outside the army to be the member of the review committee of the contest.
