BEIJING, Dec. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- The State Council and the Central Military Commission have jointly issued a circular here Tuesday, asking local governments to spare no efforts to help ex-soldiers who left the service this year to find jobs, and protect their rights.
Governments at all levels should get local government departments, institutions, state-owned companies and private firmsto employ these ex-servicemen.
Potential employers should take the country's general situationinto account by recruiting as many ex-soldiers as possible, the circular says.
Meanwhile, local governments are urged to raise funds to help ex-servicemen who are willing to start their own businesses or find jobs by their own efforts.
Local governments are also asked to offer financial or technical assistance to ex-soldiers who retrurn to their native places, according to the circular.
