Recently, Bi Lige, a non-commissioned officer of an artillery regiment under the Beijing MAC, was chosen by the higher-level as a model of becoming better educated through self-study. Bi is an NCO from the Mongolian ethnic group who knew little about Chinese language when he was newly recruited. Influenced by the prevalent studying atmosphere in the company, he began to study Chinese. Now he has not only had a good grasp of Chinese, but also obtained a junior college diploma through self-study. The picture shows Bi exchanging experience in study with his comrades-in-arms.
