The General Armaments Department of the PLA recently decided that: the Party committees at all levels of the General Armaments Department and all the officers and men should actively respond to the call of the State Council and the Central Military Commission to learn from Yang Liwei and the Astronaut Team, and carry forward the spirit of China's first manned spaceflight so as to make new contributions to China's spaceflight program and our army's armaments modernization drive.

　　The decision pointed out: Yang Liwei and the Astronaut Team are the models in implementing the important thought of the "Three Represents", the Party committees at all levels and all the officers and men should learn from them their utmost loyalty to the Party and their readiness at all times to answer to the call of the Party and the people; learn from them their lofty dedication to China's spaceflight program, the spirit of strenuous struggle; learn from them their pioneering and enterprising spirit, so as to constantly make new outstanding achievements.

　　The decision emphasized that: it was necessary to combine the learning from Yang Liwei and the Astronaut Team with the ongoing education on the manned spaceflight spirit so as to realize leapfrog development of China's manned spaceflight program and armaments modernization drive.
