The Tianjin Garrison attaches importance to developing the role of the militia and reserve force in local economic construction and turns 22 enterprises from deficits to profit. The practice of involving the whole organizational system in the same activity can also help to enhance the battle effectiveness of the militia and reserve force, thus breaking a new path of integrating the development of productive forces with enhancing combat effectiveness.

　　In recent years, at the time of studying and implementing the important thought of "Three Represents" and contributing to the building of a well-off society in an all-round way, the Tianjin Garrison organizes the militia and reserve force to join in the construction of "Three civilizations". The militia and reserve force have participated in and supported 23 key projects of Tianjin and they've used more than 30, 000 person/times and 330 vehicle/times to help Tianjin's economic construction. At the same time, some enterprises such as LG Group, Tianjiao Group, Baocheng Group, Anda Group, and Tianjin Sheraton Hotel have established their own militia organizations, some even set up people's armed forces departments. They also pay attention to toughening the militia and reserve force in fulfilling rush work in order to reach the objective of improving military might while getting richer and training troops in the activities of supporting economic construction.
