The following scene happens to a comprehensive drilling field:the fire control system of the new artillery of the "Red Army" was broken down, the field rush-repair team made consultation with expert team in the rear by means of long-distance technology support system and soon the malfunction was removed; in an armament depot, with an order, the electronic carriers operated automatically to deliver several thousands of armaments and components to the defined place correctly; in a large scale artillery field, with a click of the mouse, the requirements of quantity, safety and technology of various vehicles and artillery were displayed on the screen promptly and clearly…. These were what the reporter saw in the drilling field of a unit in the Beijing Military Area Command in early November. The unit boosted the improvement of technological support capabilities by means of informationization and realized intelligent maintenance, electronic supply and network management for its armaments.

　　With modern digital transmission technology and information sensor technology, the unit has established long-distance support system, integral armament inspection system and comprehensive digitalized diagnosis system and realized armament intelligent maintenance. They collected nearly ten million yuan capital to establish automatic 3D depots, computer network operation platform and inventory inquiry system and realized electronic supply of armament. By means of intranet, the unit established a monitor and commanding center with cutting-edge technology, developed and installed an automatic monitor equipment integrating functions such as recording, alarming, monitoring and video automatic switching and monitoring equipments for storage conditions such as temperature and moisture and realized network management for armament.
