77 demobilized soldiers join in west construction

 PLA Daily 2003-11-14

On Nov.11, 77 demobilized soldiers from the Nanjiang Military Command received the notice to stay in Xinjiang from the Personnel Department of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. After receiving training in local Party schools, they will be allocated to work as cadres in grassroots townships of the Nanjiang Prefecture. Selecting outstanding demobilized soldiers to work in grassroots townships in Xinjiang is one of the important measures adopted by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to strengthen grassroots administration construction and promote the development of local economy. Since 1991, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has selected through examinations 12 crops of demobilized soldiers from troops stationed in Xinjiang. These demobilized soldiers have contributed a great deal to local economic construction and some of them have even been promoted to be leaders of grassroots administrations.
