In late October, an artillery regiment stationed in Tibet marched into the snowy mountains and valleys to test and perfect a series of method of operation.

　　Centering on tasks of operation in frigid mountainous areas, the regiment established equipment technological innovation and method of operation research teams and conducted research on how to develop the efficiency of equipment to the maximum and how to upgrade the precision shooting of firearms under frigid conditions. The research team sorted out problems arising in the training and repeated tests on the difficult and doubtful points and consequently obtained a batch of new methods of operation for attack and defense operations of artillery groups in frigid mountainous areas.

　　In order to upgrade the ability of officers and men to master new equipment, the regiment built several multi-media classrooms and digital simulation labs, for the purpose of helping soldiers receive training of operating new equipment, and popularizing the operation and application of automatized commanding system among the commanders.
