In mid-October, at the Informationized Simulation Combat Command Training Center of an armored brigade of the Beijing Military Area Command, an informationized simulation confrontation exercise between the "Red" army and "Blue" army was in progress, an exercise that integrated "soft killing" with hard strike.

　　Based on the requirements of the new training outline, and with an eye on the development of hardware and talent cultivation, the brigade decided to intensify the informationization training of its troops. To this end, the brigade allocated fund to build a Informationized Simulation Combat Command Training Center, which was actually a simulation training platform that integrates the training of electronic warfare, network warfare with that of psychological warfare. In addition the center also has a distributed interactive confrontation network, and formed confrontation elements of the "Blue" and "Red" armies to support informationized war exercise. Relying on this, the brigade intensified its efforts to cultivate commanders for information warfare, and included psychological warfare and electronic warfare training into its training plan. As a result, the brigade has achieved a leapfrog development of its overall information combat capability.
