The eyes of the guards of Shenzhou spacecraft are vigilant doors. Since the successful launch of Shenzhou I, China Space Town has become the focus of the world and the task of guarding the town became more important and harder.

　　It happened on one night when the space town was extremely quite and from No.1 sentry post one could clearly see the light of the laboratory hall. All of a sudden, a black Audi drove there quickly. Chen Tao, the guard at the gate, stopped the car behind the no-parking line and asked the driver to present special entry permit. The driver explained that the leader of the upper level was in the car. Chen saluted and said, "Sir, there is special regulation and nobody should enter without permit." In the end the car was let in until the security department informed the guard to do so by phone call. The general did not blame the guard at all and said , "the soldier of the armed police force is a creditable steel guard. With such soldiers on watch, we don't have to worry about a thing."

　　One more case happened in a deep night when Liu Haitao was on duty on the Administrative Building. He noticed a man jumped over the wall into the yard 150 meters away from him. While keeping a close watch at the man he reported this to his squad leader Yang Zhenzhong immediately. Yang led his emergency team to the spot promptly and caught the man with Liu. The man surrendered a 50 cm long iron hook for climbing over the wall in order to steal some valuable material from the space town.

　　Each long distance escort mission is a baptism for the guard of Shenzhou spacecraft.

　　In July 2003, 7 officers and men who were assigned the mission of escorting the backup products and the related precise test instruments of Shenzhou V spacecraft to Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center vowed before the flag of the communist Party before they departed.

　　At 5:22 am, July 25, a man rode a bicycle slowly around the platform and then disappeared. About 10 minutes later, the rider came back again with a large scissors. When he came to the last carriage but one, another guy came out from the underneath the carriage. All their moves were closely watched by guard Wang Xinli. He immediately reported this to the commanding center with interphone and informed Luo Chongshun, the guard patrolling on the other side of the special train. The commanding center immediately instructed them to deal with the situation with the No. 1 plan. Then Wang and Luo outflanked them from both sides. When the guards were about 30 meters away from the targets, the man on watch saw the soldiers and ran away while shouted to his complice. The escaping thief was caught by Wang and Luo. Another man was caught by the police nearby.

　　At 8:20 am of July 24, when director Zhu Shiguo was patrolling with guard Yan Zihe by the tail of the special train, a large black bag flew over from their left side and fell at the feet of Yan. Soon a man appeared before them. Facing the unexpected situation, Yan took the bag and run out of the platform immediately. Zhu shouted at the middle-aged man, "Stop! What are you doing here? What is in your bag?" the man explained to Zhu, "Do not get me wrong, the bag is full of rubbish." Zhu caught up with Yan and opened the bag. When they found the bag was really full of garbage and they set their hearts at rest.
