"If there's any trouble with vehicles, just turn to Huang Jinsheng for help". Huang Jinsheng, a third-class NCO of a repair shop of a coast defense regiment of the Guangzhou Military Area Command created miracles in his repair of motor vehicles. In the past 10 years, he has repaired more than 700 vehicles, by which he saved a lot of repair cost for the regiment. As a result he was cited as top-notch technician by the Guangzhou Military Area Command for 4 times and was awarded 10 times.

　　Most officers and men of the coastal defense regiment knows that Huang has a solid theoretic knowledge on milling, welding and grinding work as well as benchwork and can remove malfunctions of vehicles by the touch of his hand. Once, when Huang was on his way to his repair shop when a car from the headquarters passed by him. Judging by the noise produced by the car, Huang knew that there was something wrong with the car. He stopped the car, and after examination he found that the brake rubber plates was too old. He asked the driver to drive back to the repair shop to change it immediately. For a　"Leopard " jeep, which needed overhaul, Huang needed only one day to have it fixed.

　　Huang's troubleshooting ability stems from his diligent study and practice. In order to upgrade his own professional quality, Huang bought many specialized books such as "Auto Repair", "Judgment and Elimination of Vehicle Malfunction " and "Structure and Repair of Engine's Electric Controlled System" and read them during his spare time. He assembled and disassembled engine and carburetor for numerous times in order to get a clear understanding of structure of automobile. He made 200, 000-word notes and 200 piece of drawings. At the same time, he compiled teaching materials on basic knowledge about automobile in his spare time and helped the officers and men in the repair shops to improve their repair skill. He cultivated more than 10 vehicle repair master hands successively.
