Stationing at the foot of the famous "Father of the Icy Mountains "——Muztagata Peak, Officers and men of the Kalasu frontier defense company of the Xinjiang Military Area Command had to go through an ice-covered trail with a slope of 70 degrees every time on their way of patrolling. Thus the combat style of the officers and men was tempered through the hard patrolling duty.
