After consecutive bombing, the platforms, docks and bridges were destroyed successively. A motorized division of the Nanjing Military Area Command was ready to advance in three columns immediately. One column was to rush construct makeshift platform to facilitate the running of train, another column set out to construct temporary docks for ferry operation, the third column changed its route and continue to advance…this is a scene the reporter saw at a division engaged in exercise of harder standard in recent days.

　　From the start off to the disengagement from the battle in the exercise, the division encountered many enemy situations, but every time officers and men made rapid response and handled the situations calmly. When railway platforms, docks and bridges were destroyed, the division conducted loading operation with the absence of docks, and adopted 3-D transportation means to ensure the rapid mobility of the troops. When the "enemy" conducted electronic interference and fire strike, the division resorted to such countermeasures as multi-frequency connection to ensure the uninterrupted command communication. The examination result by the higher-level showed: the division has finished 12 highly difficult mobility exercise subjects. Through the exercise, the commanding ability of commanders at all levels and the expertise of all specialized arms was tested to the full. According to Division Commander Ye Zhisheng, this was the result of their hard drill to boost their combat power with an eye to high-tech war in the future.

　　In the past three years, the division took part in several major military exercises. Through these highly difficult mobility exercises, the comprehensive combat power of the division was greatly boosted.
