Tong Qingjun, a section chief of a regiment of the South Xinjiang Military Command has developed an "armored vehicle artillery rapid corrective device" by making use of laser's feature of being capable of penetrating dense smoke, mist and dark.

With this new device, what the gunner has to do is to install the ddevice on the artillery and then, by making use of the theory of geometry, align the cross in the sighting device with the laser beam locator and the correction could be done quickly. The efficiency was much higher than previous rectification methods. This device only requires one person to operate and it is particularly good for fields with rough terrain.
