A unit of the Guangzhou Military Area Command (MAC) stationed in Hunan Province adopted measures to improve the quality of its quartermasters, which has in turn greatly enhanced the joint logistics support capability.

　　Since the introduction of joint logistics support system, the unit adopted measures, such as group training, officers and men attending different courses in light of their needs, and on the job training to enable officers and men involved in joint logistics support to be familiar with the patterns and features of joint logistics under high-tech conditions and master the methods and modes for organizing and implementing joint logistics support. The officers and men are not only required to be proficient in the logistics theory and specialized knowledge of their own systems, but also the specialized knowledge and logistics support theory of the related services and arms such as the navy and the air force. In addition, it also adopted measures to timely develop accurate and efficient digital logistics platform in light of the future war requirements, and equipped itself with a number of advanced field communication equipment, and reorganized the high-tech resources such as computers, digital cameras and scanners, put into operation the commanding automation network and office automation network and installed dynamic monitor system, which enabled 100% of sentry posts to be accessible with telephone.
