BEIJING, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Li Tieying, vice-chairman of the Chinese National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, met here Thursday with Henri Bentegeat, chief of staff of the French armed forces.
Li said in recent years, the Sino-French all-round partnership has grown steadily, leaders of the two countries have kept frequent contacts and the two countries have coordinated and cooperated well in international affairs.
Continued development of bilateral relations not only accords with the aspiration of the two peoples but also benefits world peace and stability, Li said.
He said China is willing to join hands with the international community, including France, to promote the multi-polarization of the world, realize the democratization of international relations and to ensure that globalization benefit all countries.
Bentegeat said both France and China boast brilliant culture and the two countries hold identical or similar views on many major international issues.
France is willing to strengthen exchange and cooperation in various sectors between the two countries and their armed forces, he said.
