BEIJING, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice-Premier Hui Liangyu said here Thursday during a meeting with Australian Minister of Defense Robert Hill that China is fully confident of the development of relations between the two countries and two militaries.

　　Hui said China is satisfied with the development of relations between China and Australia over the past years. The two countries have aimed to build a cooperative relationship characterized by long-term stability and healthy development.

　　Hill said Australia and China have maintained good relations and both have benefited from the smooth economic cooperation between the two sides.

　　The Australian minister said he hoped economic relations, as well as cooperation in areas of education, environmental protection and military, will grow in the years ahead.
