BEIJING, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) Chinese Vice Premier Huang Ju met here Wednesday with Tanzanian Defense Minister Philemon Sarungi.

　　Huang said China and Tanzania had enjoyed long-term friendship, and relations had developed steadily since the two countries forged diplomatic ties.

　　He said both China and Tanzania were developing countries and shared common interests in many issues.

　　He expressed gratitude for the support of the Tanzanian government on its one-China stance, and its firm support to China on major international issues including human rights.

　　Huang, also member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said he believed China and Tanzania would develop all-round and all-level cooperative relations in many fields.

　　Sarungi, grateful for the long-term assistance the Chinese government rendered to Tanzania, said Tanzania and China were ever- lasting friends no matter what changes in the international community.

　　He stressed that Tanzania would continue to push forward relations with China and between the militaries of the two countries.
