A fluorescent symbol ring for toxic detecting tube, developed by an anti-chemical technical group of the Chengdu Military Area Command, has recently passed the examination by experts. It signifies that the anti-chemical troops are now able to conduct toxic detection training at night.

　　In the past, the anti-chemical scouts checked toxic detecting tubes with natural light at daytime. At night, they could only check different toxic detecting tubes with a torch. As the light of a torch can be very intense, thus it is easy for the scouts to expose their intention of action. Through thousands of experiments by the scientific researchers of the group, they have successfully made a fluorescent symbol ring for toxic detecting tubes with new luminous material and glass tube. It is visible in a pitch-dark place by naked eyes for a couple of hours; this device can greatly improve the night combat effectiveness of the anti-chemical reconnaissance troops.
